About Jon Barrett

I’ve Spent 24 Years Helping Entrepreneurs Get the Important Stuff Done

I’m Jon Barrett. I’m the founder of the Implementation Club and Implementation Agency — and for the last two decades, I’ve been the person behind the scenes of successful businesses.

The one who takes all the ideas, tools, technology, and moving parts and actually wires them together into systems that work.

If you’ve ever met someone and thought “they just get stuff done” — that’s the role I’ve played for hundreds of business owners since 2001.

Background

How I Got Here

I started in 2001 doing lead generation — the purest form of “does this actually produce results?” From there, the work naturally expanded into websites, paid advertising, e-commerce, and the full spectrum of digital marketing.

I wasn’t the strategist who wrote plans and handed them off. I was the person who built the thing, wired it up, and made it work. Over the years, that turned into 300+ websites, hundreds of marketing campaigns, and systems for businesses ranging from startups to a company doing $55 million a year in sales.

Along the way, I became known as something unusual in this industry: the tech guy who actually understands marketing. And more importantly — the tech guy who doesn’t disappear on you.

For 8 years straight, I ran monthly live marketing meetings in San Diego. Not webinars. Not pre-recorded content. In-person, hands-on sessions where I shared the latest tools, tactics, and strategies with entrepreneurs who wanted to grow.

And every month, I hit the same wall.

No matter how simple I made the instruction, no matter how detailed the steps — a large portion of attendees didn’t implement. They’d show up, take notes, get excited, and then go back to the chaos of their businesses and nothing would change.

It wasn’t a knowledge problem. They had plenty of knowledge. It wasn’t a motivation problem. They were showing up every month.

It was an implementation problem. And nobody was solving it.

That realization changed everything for me.

I stopped asking “how do I teach better?” and started asking “how do I help people actually DO the work?”

The answer wasn’t another course. It wasn’t a mastermind where you talk about your goals for an hour and go home to figure it out alone. It wasn’t coaching where someone gives you homework and checks in next week.

It was something that didn’t exist yet: a place where you show up, we work on your actual business together, in real time, and you leave with something finished. Every single week.

That’s the Implementation Club.

The Current Era

Then AI Changed the Speed of Everything

The skills I’d spent two decades building — automations, systems, tech integration, understanding how all the pieces of a business fit together — became exponentially more powerful when paired with AI.

I didn’t watch from the sidelines. I went all-in: learning, testing, breaking, rebuilding. Not the “here’s what you could do” theory that most people teach. Production-grade systems that actually run businesses.

What took me weeks to build for a client five years ago now takes hours. What used to require hiring a developer now gets built in a single Thursday implementation session.

And my job became even more clear: I learn all the tools, test all the approaches, figure out what actually works — so the entrepreneurs I work with don’t have to. They get the result without the 200 hours of trial and error.

That’s always been my approach. AI just made it faster.

Principles

What Drives This Work

A few things I believe that shape everything I build:

Your business should serve your life — not consume it. The goal isn't more revenue at any cost. It's building something that gives you freedom to spend time on what actually matters. That's not a philosophy I teach. It's the standard I hold myself to every day.

Everything I share, I use myself. I don't teach theory. I don't recommend tools I haven't run in my own business. By the time I show you something, I've already hit every wall and found every workaround myself.

Depth over breadth. Five things done right beats fifteen half-done. I'd rather help you implement one system that transforms your business than hand you a library of fifty things you'll never finish.

Long-term trust over short-term revenue. I don't upsell what people don't need. If the honest answer is "you don't need this right now," I'll say it — even if it costs me the sale.

Launch ugly, fix later. Perfectionism kills more projects than incompetence ever will. Get the imperfect version running, learn from real results, and improve from there.

I seek to honor and glorify God in all that I do. This is the foundation underneath everything else. It shapes how I operate and is the lens through how I view every decision. I am committed to following God's Word and the Biblical standard He sets for us in all aspects of life.

The Real Why

Why This Work Is Personal

Jon, Jen, and Lucas Barrett — family photo

Behind the Implementation Club is a team, not just a person.

None of this works without my wife, Jen.

Before we started working together, she spent years in corporate hospitality where she became known for one thing: getting results. Not the incremental kind… the kind where revenue numbers moved dramatically because she understood how to find the gaps and close them. She’s a brilliant strategic thinker with the operational discipline to actually execute on those strategies.

Together we run an implementation agency where we build systems, operations, and automations for business owners. But beyond the agency, Jen is the person who keeps everything running. The business, our home, our family. She’s the reason I can go deep on building the Implementation Club, because she’s holding together everything else behind the scenes. Every business owner knows that nothing scales without someone keeping the foundation solid. Jen is that foundation for us.

Everything we teach inside the Implementation Club has been shaped by what we’ve built and tested together — on real businesses, with real revenue on the line. If I’m showing you something, it’s because we’ve already built it, broken it, fixed it, and proved it works.

But here’s the real reason this work matters to me.

We have a son, Lucas, who just turned one. And every system I build, every process I refine, every automation I wire up — the purpose underneath all of it is the same: be present for the people I love. Close the laptop at a reasonable hour. Be at dinner, not on my phone. Watch my son grow up instead of watching dashboards.

That’s not a tagline. That’s what we’re building toward every day. And it’s why the Implementation Club exists. Not just to help you make more money, but to help you build a business that gives you your time back. For your family. For your faith. For whatever matters most to you.

I know what it feels like to be buried in the work. I know the guilt of being physically in the room but mentally somewhere else. And I know that the fix isn’t working harder or caring more… it’s building the systems that let you step away without everything falling apart.

That’s what we help you do in the Implementation Club.

Is This You?

Who the Implementation Club Is For

I work with entrepreneurs running businesses between $250K and $5M in annual revenue. People who are already successful — and frustrated that they’re not further ahead.

You’ve built something real. You have clients, revenue, and a reputation. But you also have 47 half-finished projects, a tech stack that costs more than it should, and a growing sense that you should be further along by now.

You don’t need someone to tell you what to do. You need someone to help you actually do it.

If that’s you, the Implementation Club was built for exactly this.

You’ve Been Doing This Alone Long Enough.

Every week, entrepreneurs stop spinning and start finishing. So they can close the laptop, be present with the people who matter, and know the business keeps running without them.
